Roles and Responsibilities of the Global Treasury Team
General Conference
Provides global strategic and financial leadership for the Seventh-day Adventist Church World Headquarters and its family of institutions.
Financial Reporting: Manages the financial reporting processes of accounting, budgeting, and analysis to ensure there is relevant and real-time information for decision-making and accountability.
Investment and Banking: Manages the portfolio of investments and global cash treasury functions for the General Conference, its World Divisions, and church entities to facilitate sustainable mission activities and to balance liquidity and growth needed to address financial commitments.
Corporate Services: Manages a suite of professional and procurement services to support various mission roles and strategies. Serves as the Corporate Secretary, Data Privacy Officer, and Asset Maximization Coordinator for the General Conference Corporation.
Digital Strategy for Mission: Manages the digital strategy to ensure there is alignment of infrastructure, initiatives, and innovation towards advancing and accelerating the global mission.
Mission Strategy and Finance: Co-manages with General Conference Secretariat the placement and support of international service employees who are strategically positioned as pioneers and promoters of the global mission.
Operations Management: Manages the operational activities for all major and ancillary meetings and, through prudent use of capital budget expenditures, ensures the World Headquarters is always in a state of readiness to function as a place of work, worship, and witness.
Program and Process Improvement: Manages the research and reporting on whether strategic investments in mission have realized their intended impact and, if not, recommends actions on how to proceed more effectively or suspend any further investments. Evaluates people and their processes to ensure both are operating at optimum levels of excellence.
